To run Jio on your 3g phone your phone must run Qualcomm Snapdragon or Mediatek chipset
If you doesn't know the chipset of your Android phone ?
Download the CPU-Z from the playstore open it after installing and it will give you all the configurations of your device including the model.
For Running Jio on Qualcomm Chipsets
Download the Shortcut Master (Lite) app from playstore. After installing open the app and select service menu or Engineering Mode option from the Main Menu. Now select "System App" option if available for your phone model. Now you need to change LTE bands.
You can also dial *#2263# then main menu then "Back option" then again open menu then "Key Input" and enter 0000 as the value data for the option.
After entering 0000 a popup will appear Select UE Settings & select "Setting>protocol>NAS>Network Control>Band Selection>LTE Band.
Now select the band 40 from the LTE Bands.
Now you have to restart your phone.
For Running Jio on Mediatek Chipsets
Download the MTK Engineering Mode app from playstore. After installing open the app and dial your phone specific Engineering mode code to open Engineering code. Code changes from phone to phone.
Once it open then in the MTK Settings, you need to configure Preferred network option. Select 45 LTE/WCDMA/GSM from the settings.
Now you have to restart your phone.
AFTER THIS YOU CAN ROCK THE JIO SIM IN YOUR 3G PHONE
